Holzmag equipment is used by the USA based producer of currency paper. Holzmag shredder-briqueters are also used in central banks in Europe and southeast Asia. They use the most up-to-date hydraulic PLC controlled equipment available and have proven themselves over several years operation.

The paper is first shredded through a screen which has a typical size of granulate is ¼ inch (6mm). It is then transferred via an enclosed conveyor to an enclosed feed hopper which feeds the briquetting process.

An optional bucket feed is available or a conveyor is used to feed notes and documents to the shredder. The system is enclosed for security and dust reasons. Pictures and video of a typical system can be seen here.

Optional carousel bagging systems are available for the briquets. The briquets are automatically discharged by the briquetter into the bags.
