There are many different ways that you can handle your scrap paper. You can ship it out loose in containers, you can ship it out in full sheets stacked on skids, you can throw it into a compactor or you can bale it. Each printing plant has its reasons for handling their scrap the way they do. Limited room, labor costs, equipment costs, lack of labor or possibly its just a strong relationship with a current vendor. Whether you process your scrap on your own by baling it or have someone else process it, the facts are very simple, the end consumer of your waste or the "Paper Mill" will only accept it in one form, and that is BALED.

Today's baling equipment has changed drastically from years gone by. By utilizing an Air System, waste paper can now automatically be transported from the generation point (trimmers, presses), to an automated baler. The only labor involved for the printing plant is transporting the bale from the baler to the spotted trailer.

How do you pay for a system or your new baler? Paying for a system is easy when you have a commodity such as your waste paper.  By processing your scrap on site, you will see an immediate impact on your waste paper revenue. Transportation and labor cost that are currently taken out of your per ton revenue would be eliminated. When you go mill direct, the Paper Mill pays for the transportation not you!
